I was in Mark 9 a little over a week ago, and was reminded that even in my times of doubt, God's hands are not tied. A father had a son who was tormented by an evil spirit and he came to Jesus for help. His faith, like like mine was imperfect. Jesus told him all things are possible to those who believe. I love the Fathers response, “I do believe; help my unbelief.”
It is reassuring to me to know that my lack of faith does not limit God. It may limit me, but it does not tie His hands. He is compassionate towards me, loving me and acting on my behalf even when I doubt Him. This strengthens my faith. Faith is important, but more important still, is the object of our faith, God himself!
